This series of paintings began in March 2010. It started as an exploration into deep emotions regarding how we persist and why.
Journal writing and painting fuel my expression. I use any medium that helps visually communicate the intangible, in a process of adding and taking away. Layer upon layer are worked on the surface of the canvas or wood until the painting is complete.
Art, for me, is a practice. A way of life. It helps me know my true self and connect with others where words are inadequate.
